Trust no one in Blood on the Clocktower, a gripping social deduction game of murder and mystery! A demon is loose in the village, and it's up to you and the other townsfolk to uncover the truth and execute the fiend before it's too late. Each player receives a secret role on the side of Good or Evil, from a powerful demon to a humble villager. Will you use your unique ability to find the truth or spread masterful lies? No experience is necessary as the game will be taught at the start of the event. Adults only, registration required.

Bring your extra seeds or plants to swap! Meet other plant enthusiasts and gardeners, check out gardening books, and leave with new-to-you plants or seeds. Cuttings, seeds, seedlings, herbs, gardening equipment, and small plants are all welcome. Please make sure plants or seeds are identifiable and pest-free. This program is in partnership with Keep Lewisville Beautiful.

Understanding Cemetery Symbols

Join author, photographer, and cemetery symbolism expert Tui Snider for a lively, photo-rich presentation that teaches you how to "read" the hidden language of gravestones. Using beautiful examples from North Texas cemeteries, you'll discover the stories behind lambs, tree stumps, clasped hands, religious emblems, and other familiar symbols while learning how they reflect history, faith, culture, and changing attitudes toward life and death. Whether you're a history buff, genealogist, or simply curious about stories carved in stone, you'll never look at a cemetery the same way again.
Tui Snider is a Texas-based author, speaker, photographer, and cemetery symbolism expert. She has written several books about travel, local history, folklore, and historic cemeteries, including Understanding Cemetery Symbols, Around the World in 80 Graves, and Buried America: Dallas–Fort Worth. Known for engaging, photo-filled presentations, Tui combines history, symbolism, art, and storytelling to help audiences discover the fascinating stories hidden in plain sight.

Learn how to make a plush photo holder keychain, featuring your baby (or fur baby!) in a Halloween costume. Attendees will be able to choose from a ghost, pumpkin, or bat pattern. The Highland Village LIONS Club is offering free vision screenings the last Monday of the month at the Library. Vision screenings are quick, non-invasive and available for anyone ages 6 months and older. Screenings will determine if there is a need to follow up with an eye doctor for glasses or other vision treatment. The LIONS Club screeners are state-certified to conduct vision screenings. No registration required.

A Community Resource Specialist from the Tarrant Area Food Bank will be available at the Library on the 2nd Wednesday of the month to offer assistance with State benefits. An appointment is required.
