The Lewisville Library is proud to participate
in Read Across Texas, an initiative from the Texas State Library & Archives
Commission and the Texas Center for the Book, designed to encourage communities
to engage in tough but important conversations. In 2017, Read Across Texas: The
Veteran Experience invites Texans to use books as a bridge to talk about
veteran issues. During the month of October, the Lewisville Library will host a variety of
events, including information sessions for veterans and their families, a book discussion, movie screening, and a
display of veteran artwork.
