Magazines and Newspapers

The Lewisville Public Library subscribes to many magazines and newspapers. Magazines for Adults and newspapers are located on the 1st floor near the Crawford Meeting Room. Magazines for Youth and Teen are located in their respective areas in the Library. While magazines and newspapers may not be checked out, customers can make copies of magazine and newspaper articles in the Copy and Print Center on the 1st floor.  

Newspaper Back Issues

Below is a list of local newspaper back issues available in the Library. All back issues are available on microfilm unless otherwise noted. The Library has a microfilm reader/printer available for public use. Printing from microfilm is $0.15 per page. Please visit the Adult Services Desk on the 2nd floor for assistance with newspaper back issues and the microfilm reader/printer.

Local History & Genealogy

The Library's Baird Reading Room houses a collection of local history materials including city directories, oral histories and yearbooks, as well as a small collection of genealogy materials. Yearbook collections are not complete. Search the Library's online catalog to find materials available in this collection. Materials in the Library's local history and genealogy collections are reference materials available for use in the Library.

Circulating copies of oral histories and Lewisville, Denton County history publications are available in the Texas Zone located on the 2nd floor.

Books on how to conduct genealogy research are available in Family & Relationships Zone located on the 2nd floor.
