Welcome Baby
The Welcome, Baby program is paused
temporarily while supplies are being replenished.
The Welcome, Baby! Program is designed to welcome newborns and their parents to the Lewisville Public Library by introducing them to library resources and early literacy concepts. Every baby ages 0-12 months that visits the Lewisville Public Library is eligible to receive one Welcome, Baby! care package which includes a board book, a Rock-A-Bye Baby Reader, program information for babies and parents, book recommendations, and a reusable tote bag.
- Love of reading: Sharing books with babies shows them that reading is important, pleasurable, and valued.
- Life-long learners: Learning begins at birth. During the formative years of life, the brain grows at a rapid pace. Reading encourages creativity and curiosity and is a great way to learn throughout life.
- Bonding time: Reading together provides an opportunity to be close to your children and make memories together.
