Equipment Training
All Hive equipment training is available online. Additionally, Fusion Pro laser training is currently offered in person a few times each season. Please see below for available dates. Reservation is required due to limited availability.

This informational training will be packed with everything you need to skip the Helix training and go straight to using the Fusion Pro laser cutter. Learn the basics of engraving and vector cutting on the laser cutter and see the machine in action. Class will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Open to adults and teens 13 and up. Registration for each session opens exactly two weeks prior at 6 p.m.

Speed Paint Your Miniature Figures:
Saturday, May 2 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Learn the fundamentals of speed painting your miniature game figurines in this interactive session. Our presenter will show you the way to drybrush and speed paint using a selection of colors in less time than when painting with the traditional method. All supplies are provided. Open to makers 13 and up. Registration for May 2 opens April 18 at 11 a.m.
Zip It Up: The Essential Tool Bag

Ready to level up your sewing skills? This workshop is your chance to demystify the zipper! We'll focus on intermediate techniques like: installing a zipper with a lining, working with the zipper foot, and sewing multiple layers for a clean, professional-looking finish. This finished bag is perfect for tools, pencils, or other supplies. The skills you gain will give you the confidence to tackle projects like garment pockets and structured bags! Open to makers 13 and up. Registration opens April 25 at 1 p.m.
Quilt Front Totes: Bold Blocks for Beginners:

Sew a story you can carry. Inspired by the artistry of the Gee's Bend quilters, this workshop guides participants in creating a bold quilted tote. Discover the history behind these unique quilts and leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade bag. Open to makers 13 and up. Registration opens June 6 at 1 p.m.

Make anime-inspired crafts and eat Japanese snacks while watching an anime/movie with other fans. All supplies are provided. Free. Ages 13-18. Registration and permission slip required. Registration opens June 12 at 9 a.m.
Acrylic Painting: Neon Blooming Desert: Monument Glow:

Corner Classroom | Registration Required.
Create a vibrant Southwest desert painting inspired by bold color palettes and expressive linework in this painting workshop. With guidance from artist Steven Rodriguez, participants will complete their own 11x14 acrylic painting. For all skill levels. Bring your own apron or stainable clothes/shoes. Ages 14 and up. Registration opens June 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Candle Making:

Join us for this hands-on workshop led by Taylor Evans of candleghoul.com. Using thrifted and repurposed vessels, each participant will blend their own fragrances and color shavings to create two one-of-a-kind candles. Open to adults and teens 13 and up; ages 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult (the accompanying adult only needs to register if they plan to participate). Registration opens June 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Sunny Stitches: Embroidered Tea Towels:

Soak up the summer vibes in this all-levels embroidered tea towel class! We’ll create bright, beachy designs using simple decorative stitches that are perfect for beginners and fun for experienced makers too. Come stitch and relax, and leave with charming hand-embroidered towels. Open to makers 13 and up. Registration opens July 25 at 1 p.m.
