The Art of Kokedama
Thursday, November 14 | 6:30-7:30 p.m.
The Hive Makerspace | Ages 16 & up
Registration required, opens Thursday, October 31 at 9 a.m.
Kokedama is a traditional Japanese gardening technique where plants are wrapped in moss to create a beautiful, suspended display. In this class, students are provided with a plant, guided instruction, and all of the materials to make their very own Kokedama plant hangers. Registration opens October 31 at 9 a.m. Open to adults and teens (Ages 16+) only. 

Laser Cork Boards
Saturday, November 16 | 2-4 p.m.
The Hive Makerspace | Ages 13 & up
Registration required, opens Saturday, November 2 at 9 a.m.
Learn how to create a design and laser it onto your own 12”x12” corkboard that’s perfect for displaying pins and other small mementos. All supplies provided.  Registration for this program begins on November 2 at 9 a.m. Open to adults and teens (Ages 13+).

Gnome for the Holidays! Festive Mini Speed Painting
Saturday, December 7 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Do you want to learn how to paint board game miniatures? Our presenter will show you the way to paint high quality mini figures in a short amount of time. All supplies are provided. Registration opens November 23 at 9 a.m. Open to adults and teens (Ages 13+).

Teen After-Hours Craft Night & Wrapping Party
Friday, December 13 | 6:30-9 p.m. (after-hours)

Registration and permission form required*; registration opens November 30 at 9 a.m.
Take over the Library after closing and make gifts for giving (or keeping) this holiday season! All supplies provided, and holiday gift wrap will be available too. Free!

Stressed out? Unwind with therapy dogs*, snacks, and relaxing activities.
*Therapy dogs may not be available at all times. Thank you to Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs & their dog teams for providing therapy dogs! No registration required. 

Teen Volunteer Program
The Lewisville Public Library's Teen Volunteer Program is open to teens ages 14-18 looking for non-court-appointed hours. Interested teens must attend an orientation session and pass a shelving test to determine eligibility. Orientations are held on an as-needed basis when spots open on the volunteer team. Volunteers may earn up to six hours per week, not including special programs. Hours are available on a first-come, first-served basis and scheduled via the Youth Services Desk up to two weeks in advance.
