The Art of Kokedama

Kokedama is a traditional Japanese gardening technique where plants are wrapped in moss to create a beautiful, suspended display. In this class, students are provided with a plant, guided instruction, and all of the materials to make their very own Kokedama plant hangers. Teen Volunteer Program
The Lewisville Public Library's Teen Volunteer Program is open to teens ages 14-18 looking for non-court-appointed hours. Interested teens must attend an orientation session and pass a shelving test to determine eligibility. Orientations are held on an as-needed basis when spots open on the volunteer team. Volunteers may earn up to six hours per week, not including special programs. Hours are available on a first-come, first-served basis and scheduled via the Youth Services Desk up to two weeks in advance.
